LEADER: Exchanging times.

In the last few hours, some 'friends' have offered me the chance to install software in the Ukraine, obtain a genuine degree without any study and stop my hair loss right now. This is despite the fact that I have no technological experience, a much-studied-for degree and am the proud owner of a thick head of hair.

Obviously, these are not real friends or genuine marketing ploys. They are all examples of the spam that finds its way into my email inbox. Some of the missives purport to come from fictional pals in Africa while others claim they are based in south-east Asia, US or Russia.
