Poverty is not easy to live with and one feels for the various beggars at every robot trying to get a bit extra in their daily grind.
However much I feel sympathy I do feel desperate about the mothers with young children who sit all day in the rain or hot sun hoping for a handout. I have tried talking to them to tell them how bad it is for their children to inhale all the fumes from the cars idling at the robots but have got nowhere.
I have tried ringing various agencies for child welfare and have got absolutely nowhere. What I have to ask is, why is it if someone sat with a dog tied up all day the animal welfare agencies would be out in full force, but when …
